Dubbed as the highest regional award given by the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) V, the Local Government of Calabanga bagged the 19th Saringaya Award for Local Government Entities in recognition of the efforts contributed in the conservation and preservation of the environment on June 27, 2019 at the Casablanca Convention Hall, Legazpi City.

The Project monitoring Committee is composed of the following Offices from the MPDC, Accounting, Municipal Treasurer’s Office, Engineering office, Office of the Mayor Representative, Budget Office, a representative from a Civil Society Organization and the LGOO (DILG) , They inspect the Project being implemented for the LGU funded by the National Government , National Government Agencies like the DPWH, DILG, DA and also other Non Government Agencies. The Committee also inspects the Programs, Projects and Activities coming from the 20% Fund of the Local Government.
